Trying not to sound too biased here, but I predict that the launch of Krugle.com will go down in marketing history as one of the most successful Web 2.0 product/company launches ever and will be talked about in marketing circles for years to come. Don Thorson, VP of Marketing at Krugle.com, posts a behind-the-scenes article about the marketing of Krugle, how it was done, and how the media and public responded. As a sub-theme, the story also illustrates that a successful brand and web launch need not take 6-12+ months to complete but…hey, Don…I’m insisting that the planning, “HTML”, and related programming timelines be A BIT longer than TEN DAYS the next time you plan to repeat this exercise. 😉 Congrats on a job well done.
