As posted by David Heinemeier Hansson on the Ruby on Rails blog, there is actually a manual for TextMate, the missing text editor for OS X. (Admittedly, I purchased TextMate when I started learning Ruby on Rails purely on the basis that all of the Rails legends seem to be using it. I’m glad to know that TextMate is capable of more than the simple text edits I have used it for thus far.) On a related note, why do I feel like I am cheating by not using VI or Emacs? Is it possible to have IDE guilt? What if I said that I sometimes use the visual CSS tools in Dreamweaver? Oh, I’m so ashamed. (Confessions of a working web developer.)
